Our external world is a reflection of our internal world, literally
Anyone who has read a few of my blogs has probably noticed that I talk about the 'psyche' a lot. This is because of how important I believe it is on both an individual and collective level. When you distill the planet down to its truest and purest meaning all you are left with is humans. All meaning is merely derived from our brains, bodies and souls.
In my first blog I talked about the level of the individual being the most important level of analysis. Taking a holistic outlook at ourselves through the lense of a necessarily reductionistic view post is all we can do. For example, 'I am angry when this happens to me'. Anger is a constant across humans, but the reason that this specific thing makes you angry is where the importance lies. The existential battle between good and evil is mirrored on the individual level, the corruption of a civilisation is paralleled with the proclivity for people to lean towards greed and selfishness.
Our outer existence, on a personal level, is a mirror of our internal world. The outer world and all the problems that we face as a species and a society can also be found in an internal context.
A possible path of the human could be to try to realise just how diverse and outstretched we are as living beings. To try and breathe beyond the experiential and programmable bubbles of existence that we all live in. In doing this we are awake to the simplicity of simply being.
Occasionally when I have been meditating I have achieved certain altered states of awareness. This is not uncommon among the Meditation community but either way its something worth writing about. The best way to describe this is as follows, you feel as though you are starting to float out of your body and all that is known to you fades away. Leaving you with only what is inherently known inside of you. You begin to move into a geometrical realm where all around you are shapes and angles. On top of this you are filled with the most tremendous fully somatic feeling.
Meditation is something I pray that in 20 years or so, everyone will be doing it. Not just that but our knowledge of it will be considerably more in depth. The power of 'taking five' (literally) and slowing down our minds and bodies is phenomenal.
In the next blog I'll explain my theory on the psyche. Revolving around our relationships and individual instincts. After that I'll park the topic for a while, probably for the best haha.
I hope you enjoyed the blog and thank you for reading until the end.
